Think fast. Act fast. Be fastest.

Bare minimal interactive

In the middle of that highly entertaining and thought provoking presentation, Baratunde said something that made me stop. Tweets that make the reader think of the punchline themselves are interactive, even if it’s silent.

That made me rethink what interactive means and shed some light on a post I made a while ago. Definitions of interactive generally include some type of action taken, some back-and-forthing, but I don’t think it needs to go that far and neither does Baratunde. If you make someone think, you’ve interacted with them. This goes back to my post about big reactions to one line quotes. If instead of telling someone your own conclusion you help them make a conclusion on their own, they’re more likely to agree (assuming you’ve lead them to the same conclusion you made.)

What does interactive mean to you?
